Stand Out at the Trade Show

Trade shows are packed with countless companies all striving to attract potential clients and customers. There video displays, product demonstrations, and countless other tricks and tools used to help build up brand identity and gain new clients. One of the simplest and most effective ways to stand out at a trade show, however, is simply to offer promotional company items as gifts to those who approach your booth. While flashy gimmicks and loud, showy displays are all well and good, the truth is that lower key techniques are often just as effective, and these gifts are among the very best things that you can offer your potential customers.

Just what are promotional company items, then? They can be practically anything, from coffee mugs to USB flash drives or umbrellas to t-shirts. The one thing that they'll have in common, however, is that they'll bear your company name or logo. There are plenty of great companies out there willing to add your logo to whatever type of gift you want to offer your potential employees, whether you need it to be stamped, embroidered, embossed, or engraved. And believe it or not, something as simple as a fridge magnet or flash drive with your logo can really have an impact.

The main reason that promotional company items work so well at a trade show is retention. A trade show floor can be absolutely overwhelming, with numerous displays and events all competing for space in a prospective client's memory. While an absolutely outstanding product or service will have an impact, if numerous ones are seen, it can be hard to remember which is the best. And simple brochures or literature handouts will often find its way to the recycling bin before it's ever even reviewed, mainly due to the sheer volume of it being distributed.

But how many people will toss a free flash drive, cap, or other item into the garbage bin? Not many, and most will be glad to have them. Once they leave the trade show they'll have a constant reminder of your company with them. This will help keep your company fresh in their mind and create a sense that they should do business with you. It may sound unlikely, but it's true and is the reason that promotional company items have been used since the seventeen hundreds. They're simple and effective, and could greatly boost your trade show success.
